In an op-ed piece published on June 22, 2025 in the Seattle Times, PALTmed Washington Chapter Board President Jessica Van Fleet-Green, MD, MBA expressed concerns about the abrupt decision to fire all 17 members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, and the potential disruption to clear-cut and established standards for public health regarding vaccinations.
Furthermore, the statement called upon the Washington State Vaccine Advisory Committee to respond quickly and ensure the continuity of care for Washington residents, and ensure transparency and clear communication with state health-care practitioners.
