Without action from Congress, Medicare telehealth services will expire on September 30, 2025, creating harmful disruptions in care for millions of patients—including some of the most medically complex and vulnerable in the long-term and acute-care space.
We know that telehealth services are often the most timely and responsive innovations in health care, and access to these methods of delivery are essential to maintaining optimal health for those covered by Medicare.
Your voice matters. Although telehealth services receive bipartisan support, your state legislators need to hear from you to make this issue a priority. In its commitment to provide guidance and advocacy on behalf of our medical specialty, the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association (PALTmed) has created a tool to convey your message to your elected representatives. Please visit our Grassroots Advocacy page to remind your members of Congress about the urgency of this issue.
As the current PALTmed President, I want to thank you for lending your support to preserving needed medical access to the patients in our care.
